With Halloween rapidly approaching many guests who visit the Magic Kingdom theme parks are looking for ways to celebrate the holiday. While not everyone coming into Florida is heading to the theme parks The Florida Tourism Department states that 46% of people who are traveling internationally to Florida stated that theme parks were part of the reason why they came to Florida. This influx of travelers has certainly impacted the park’s attendance as The Disney website shows us that this season Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is entirely sold out as it has been for the last three years.
If you are someone who can’t obtain or afford tickets to the special event but still wants to take part in the Halloween fun then this article is for you! Let’s begin at the front of the park where you will be greeted by a large pumpkin photo spot. This is a bonus tip because you don’t even need park entry to get a photo here. Once you head in you will see the classic Mickey Pumpkins adorning the lamp posts, large stacks of Pumpkins with friendly faces, pumpkin people dressed as Cast Members, and colorful bunting lining the buildings.

If you are looking for something fun to do in the Halloween spirit may I recommend heading into the Emporium on Main Street and grabbing some Halloween merchandise. They have everything from clothing, plushes, bags and even trading pins. You can buy yourself a mystery pack and trade with Cast Members around the parks.

Once you find yourself some holiday-themed merchandise it’s time to grab a bite to eat. The Disney Parks Blog is a great place to find what Halloween-themed food is served all day. I highly recommend checking out Casey’s Corner for the Chipotle Barbecue Pork and Street Corn French Fries. Or if something sweet is more your style you can grab the Worms ‘n Dirt Churro from the Churro Cart near Cinderella Castle.
For a keepsake that is budget-friendly, there is nothing quite like a Disney photo. While you can absolutely get photos with the aforementioned decor you may want to consider some of the photo opportunities Disney has set up. Near the entrance to Tomorrowland you can find the Sleepy Hollow’s Headless Horseman photo op. Photopass Cast Members will happily take your photo on your own phone which saves you the cost of purchasing the photos through Disney.

On your way out of the parks be sure to stop by the Confectionery for a tasty treat to end the day. Some of these Halloween-themed treats include specialty-themed popcorn, rice crispy treats, candy apples, gummy candy, and more. Some of these treats can even double as a souvenir because of the excellent packaging.
